About Us
Independent gold investment education
Comprehensive, research-backed resources for investors who want to understand gold — not just buy it.
Our Mission
Making Gold Investment Knowledge Accessible
Wise With Gold exists to make gold investing education accessible to everyone — from first-time buyers to experienced investors refining their strategy. We believe understanding gold's role in a portfolio shouldn't require a finance degree or a sales pitch.
Why We Exist
The space in between
Most gold content online sits at one of two extremes. At one end, fear-driven marketing dressed as education — copy engineered to move you toward a high-premium product or whichever dealer is paying for the referral. At the other, thin listicles that repeat the same surface facts without ever explaining how gold actually behaves, or why.
Wise With Gold exists for the space in between: serious, sourced, genuinely useful coverage for people who want to understand gold — not just be sold it. We treat the reader as an intelligent adult making a real decision with real money, and we write accordingly.
The test for every page is simple: would this hold up if an expert read it closely?
In practice that means primary sources over hot takes, dated figures over round ones, and the limitations of gold stated as plainly as its strengths. It means tools that show their work and a corrections log anyone can read. How we hold ourselves to that standard is documented, in full, in our methodology.

The Masthead
Who is responsible for this site
Alexander W.
Editor-in-Chief
Every page on Wise With Gold is researched, written, and fact-checked under one editorial process, and Alexander signs off on all of it. He is not a licensed financial adviser and doesn't pretend to be — this site's authority rests on its process, not on titles: every figure traces to a named primary source (the World Gold Council, IMF statistics, MeasuringWorth, the Federal Reserve), every scoring system is published alongside the work it governs, and corrections are logged openly on our errata page.
Questions, corrections, or challenges to anything we've published are genuinely welcome — write to the editor.
